Raul Cedeno, a native of Portoviejo, Ecuador, discovered his passion for tennis at the tender age of 6. His early love for the sport propelled him into a remarkable career that has spanned continents and left an indelible mark on the tennis world. After completing his education, Raul embarked on his journey as a tennis instructor at the prestigious Doral Country Club in Miami, Florida.
Driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, Raul honed his coaching skills at some of South Miami’s most renowned tennis clubs, including Courts at the Falls, Royal Palm, and Coco Plum. However, it was his unwavering passion for competition that set him apart. Fuelled by this fervor, Raul founded a traveling team of elite junior players from the United States, Central America, and South America, known as the International Tennis Federation (ITF) team.
For nearly a decade, Raul crisscrossed the globe with his team, organizing and participating in ITF tournaments in countries like El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. His dedication to nurturing young talent and promoting the sport of tennis earned him widespread acclaim and admiration within the international tennis community.
In recent years, Raul has transitioned into the role of a private coach in the Stuart area, where he continues to share his expertise and passion for tennis with eager enthusiasts of all ages. Despite his illustrious career and global adventures, Raul remains deeply rooted in his love for the game, actively participating in local events and tournaments.
Today, Raul Cedeno finds himself at Buttonwood Tennis Club, where he holds the position of Director of Tennis. His wealth of experience, unwavering dedication, and infectious enthusiasm make him an invaluable leader for the club and its members. Raul’s commitment to excellence and his genuine love for the sport continue to inspire those around him, leaving an enduring legacy in the world of tennis.
